A) The Environmental and Pollution Control Wing of the Directorate of Health Services undertakes the following activities:-

Physico-Chemical and Bacteriological analysis of

i) Water
ii) Industrial effluent
iii) Sewage.

B) The Public,Industries,Government agencies and Institutions are availing the services of the Environmental and Pollution Control Wing laboratory on payment of fixed charges approved by Government.

C) The various tests are charged as per Govt.approved rates.

a) Head of Office-looking after the administration of the Environmental and Pollution Control Wing and the laboratory.
b) To analyse/cause to analyse the samples of water,Industrial effluents,sewage.
c) Overall control over analytical work to be done at laboratory.
d) Procurement of Instruments,Glassware and Chemicals for the laboratory.
e) Providing laboratory facilities to the Public,Industries,Govt.agencies for analysing the water,Industrial effluents etc.on charges approved by Govt.
